 Therma-Zeal

Therma-Zeal is a non-combustible, pre-formed, semi-rigid, mineral wool with special binders that can be easily and quickly installed as a component in our Ceva FR fire barrier expansion joint system. Therma-Zeal is installed in conjunction with MZ Vapor Stop to provide 2 & 3 hour fire ratings. Therma-Zeal blocks the transmission of heat and associated temperatures of a fire; enabling the structure to maintain the hourly rating requirements of the floor or wall in which it is installed. Therma-Zeal also serves as the backing material in fire stop and smoke seal assemblies where smoke, water, and gas tight seals are required. By using MetaZeal as the primary seal, Therma-Zeal and MZ Vapor Stop are protected from the abrasion and other physical stresses that typical fire barrier systems are subjected to.

MZ Vapor Stop
MZ Vapor Stop is a primer less single component silicone sealant available in self leveling and non-sag versions. The sealant cures to a durable, flexible silicone rubber when exposed to atmospheric moisture. When cured in place, the fire resistant sealant creates a water tight seal between a variety of standard construction materials. The MZ Vapor Stop is the smoke barrier and secondary waterstop in our Ceva FR fire rated expansion joint system. When partnered with our Therma-Zeal, MZ Vapor Stop provides up to a three hour UL fire rating. MZ Vapor Stop physical properties will remain stable over time. It may be applied over a wide temperature range, 0ºF to 120ºF (–18ºC to 50ºC), allowing the sealant to be applied in any season.

Eva-Pox® Epoxy Paste #22
Eva-Pox® Epoxy Paste No. 22 is a 100% solids two component, moisture tolerant, modified epoxy paste specfically designed for patching small spalls in vertical and overhead concrete or steel surfaces. The product may also be used as a bonding agent between typical construction products in limited applications. For application at temperatures down to 50ºF (10ºC). Meets ASTM C-881, Type I & II, Grade 2, Class B & C.
